The More to Explore app highlights almost 400 camping and picnic sites and more than 240 recreational trails in Victoria’s state forests.
Activities highlighted include bush walking, mountain biking, four-wheel driving, trail bike riding, horse riding, scenic driving, camping and picnicking.
The O’Keefe Rail Trail, Kimbolton Picnic Area, and the Gunbower Island Forest Drive are among the Forest Fire Management Victoria app’s featured attractions in central Victoria.
More to Explore is available on iTunes, with an Android version of the app planned for release this year.
Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Lily D’Ambrosio, expected the app would help Victorians connect with nature in new ways.
“With more than three million hectares of State Forest to explore in Victoria, this app will make it quicker and easier for everyone to discover our state’s breathtaking natural beauty,” she said.
