Warhammer Bendigo’s Dave Miller said the workshop is a way to bring the hobby to people that have never been introduced to Warhammer before.
“There’s a lot of different aspects to it such as storytelling, competition and art. You don’t have to play to enjoy the painting and you don’t need painted models to play,” Mr Miller said.
Warhammer is a tabletop battle game where players command armies of figurines.
The workshop covered the basic techniques for painting Warhammer models and background information about game-play.
Nathum Munroe brought his son Daniel to the workshop for a first-hand Warhammer experience.
“It’s good to learn about Warhammer and get down to the details which helps myself and Daniel do something together,” Mr Munroe said.
Daniel hopes to receive some Warhammer for his birthday as “it’s coming up soon”.
