The 28-year-old man from Lethbridge, near Geelong, was recorded at that speed – more than 100 km/h in excess of the legal limit – about 4pm today.
Police arrested the man at a car wash on Eaglehawk Road in Ironbark shortly before 5.30pm.
Three children under the age of seven, one of whom was not wearing a seatbelt, were inside the car at the time of his arrest. A woman was in the passenger seat.
It is not known whether the children were in the vehicle earlier that day when the driver was recorded speeding.
The car was impounded and the man will face court on reckless driving endangering life and other driving offences.
