A teenager was left with a bruised and swollen face following an unprovoked assault in Rosalind Park on New Year’s Eve.

Sergeant Mark Bell said police are calling for witnesses to the altercation between two teenagers and five other males to come forward.
The assault occurred at about 11pm on December 31 near the Christmas tree area in Rosalind Park.
“The two teenagers attempted to run away. One got caught, the other didn’t,” Sergeant Bell said.
“As result the 15-year-old victim has received a blood nose, bruising and swelling to his face and sore ribs.
“Rosalind Park was very busy at the time and this was an unprovoked assault.
“In an attempt to identify the offenders, police are requesting the assistance of anyone who might have witnessed this incident.”
