AFL clubs are keen to see Bailey Henderson play another season at TAC Cup level.
Henderson has been cleared to play with the Bendigo Pioneers as a 19-year-old in 2018.
The talented utility missed selection in last month’s AFL national and rookie drafts, but he clearly remains on the radar of AFL clubs.
Under TAC Cup rules, a sub-committee made up of AFL club and AFL Victoria representatives need to give approval to 19-year-olds playing with their respective TAC Cup clubs.
Golden Square ruckman Daniel Keating and Castlemaine key position player Zac Denahy will also play for the Pioneers as 19-year-olds.
Meanwhile, several of the Bendigo Pioneers’ 2017 graduates are training with VFL clubs.
Darby Henderson (Williamstown), Cooper Jones (Geelong), Caleb Sheahan (Richmond) and Mitch Kemp (North Melbourne) are completing pre-season training in an attempt to force their way onto VFL lists for 2018.
