Castlemaine’s Punctum Inc and The Village Festival of New Performance in Fryerstown each received $15,000 to help their projects.
Punctum’s Nomadic Public Cooling House will be placed in the Castlemaine Botanic Gardens and is part art house, part bath house and help the public to beat the heat.
The Village Festival of New Performance will present an arena spectacular performance of Iron Horse Drive-In: A Ritual in Fire, Light and Sound at Newstead Racecourse as part of the the 2018 Village Winter Festival.
Regional Arts Victoria director of partnerships Liz Zito said the latest round of projects was particularly impressive.
“This round of funding supports new work across visual arts, theatre and literary works,” she said.
“It supports a range of collaborations and residencies involving artists and communities across the state.”
