A field of 15 contested the 3000m race at Latrobe University Bendigo’s athletics complex in Retreat Road.
Racing on invitational basis, Van Ruiswyk was first to finish in a time of 10 minutes 27.68 seconds.
Runner-up was University’s Lachan Van Schaik, 10:39.35, as Bendigo Harriers’ Rossi Evans continued his fine form to be third in 10:41.92.
Fastest female was Anne Buckley from Bendigo Harriers in 12:30.53.
Next Tuesday’s racing at LUBAC includes two of Bendigo region’s relay championships.
