A motorcyclist who sustained a severe foot injury after coming off the road in Maiden Gully on Tuesday evening was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne.

Witnesses told police at the scene it appeared as though the 32-year-old’s foot was almost completely severed.
Senior Constable Steven Mika said the man lost control of his motorbike on Golf Links Road in the early evening on Tuesday.
The California Gully man was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne in a serious but stable condition.
No other road users were involved in the incident, and police were continuing their investigations, said Senior Constable Mika, who urged road users to be aware of their surroundings and the road conditions.
Meanwhile, emergency services attended a two-car collision in Kangaroo Flat at 7.40pm on Tuesday.
One of the cars involved in the collision was propelled into the fence of a property on Helm Street, which suffered minor damage.
The driver of that vehicle was transported to Bendigo hospital with minor injuries, acting Sergeant Chris Gomez said.
