The Jackass Flat resident said all four calls were from someone claiming to be from ‘Telstra technical support’ and all the callers had foreign accents.
She said at first they claimed she would lose her computer if she didn’t provide them with her IP address and internet account details, but later said she would lose internet access.
When she explained she didn’t have a Telstra account, they still weren’t deterred.
“I’m just concerned because there are elderly people that could be intimidated by these types of calls,” she said.
“They need to be aware of it.”
The woman said the callers were polite, but intimidating.
They also refused to give her their phone number when she requested it.
