Canberra United have signed Norwegian forward Elise Thorsnes to fill their final international spot and bolster their bid for W-League glory.
Fresh off helping Norwegian club outfit Avaldsnes to a UEFA women's Champions League berth, Thorsnes looms as a huge boost to United's title hopes.
Canberra United coach Heather Garriock called on her international contacts to help secure the 29-year-old forward, who has 110 international caps to her name.
Garriock found herself searching for a new international recruit after Brazillian star Camila Martins Pereira ruptured her ACL on the eve of the season.
Pereira's contract had not yet been registered with Football Federation Australia and as a result the midfielder did not join Canberra.
