The project see ten 10-minute, locally-written plays selected to be bought to the stage by small groups of local directors and performers.
“TENx10 is an innovative and exciting way of showcasing original plays, directed and performed by both emerging and experienced artists,” BTC committee member Vern Wall said.
“The company is looking for original plays which will be assessed for inclusion in the 2018 program.”
It is the third time BTC has held TENx10 with the company eager to provide more opportunities for new and emerging writers, directors and actors.
Held in March, the deadline for playwrights to submit work is midnight on December 31. Submission requirements can be found on the BTC website. TENx10 is also looking for expressions of interest from people who would like to direct a play.
“The format is equally perfect for experienced directors or for those who have never directed but would like to try,” Mr Wall said.
“All TENx10 directors will have support, commencing with a directors workshop to be held in January.”
Registrations for directors close on December 17. For more information on TENx10 or to register to be a director email bendigotheatrecompany@gmail.com
