Eager athletes will stretch their calves, warm up their hamstrings and lace up their sneakers for the annual Bendigo Bank Fun Run on Sunday.

The fun run was first held in 2006 and has grown each year since then.
Participants this year will run a slightly different course by starting in Pall Mall, heading up View Street, along Barnard Street and then following the course back down the hill to Pall Mall.
People can register for the 5km walk or the running events that cover 5km, 10km, 15km or the half marathon and the Tracy Wilson Relay.
This year the Bendigo Bank Fun Run is raising funds for the New Bendigo Hospital Appeal which aims to raise $4 million for state of the art equipment, this includes an opthalmic microscope which will enable surgeons to provide high level back of the eye surgery.
One hundred per cent of funds raised at the annual Bendigo Bank Fun Run will be allocated to the New Bendigo Hospital Appeal.
