Mr Button has taken out the Bendigo Marketplace man of the day.
He and his partner Brooke Strahan are regulars at country races.
"There's nowhere else you can get dressed up like this," she said.
Mr Button said he was not expecting the win. His vote would have gone to runner up Danny Archer.
He said the secret to success was to be yourself and be comfortable with what you've got.
Meanwhile, Peta Bell won the millinery category, with Jessie Beasley the runner up.
The finalists have been selected for the local lady of the day, elegant lady of the day and lady of the day categories.
The final categories have been live-streamed on the Bendigo Advertiser Facebook page.
Don’t forget to vote in the annual Style Stakes competition! The winners will be decided by public vote on the Bendigo Advertiser website from Friday, November 3. Full details here.
