The upgrade, which included alterations to the start ramp, first straight and berm, was unveiled last Friday.
Club treasurer Melissa Walker said the five metre start ramp - double the height of the previous one - brought the Eaglehawk track into line with the standard of most other BMX tracks in Victoria.
“The long term plan is to host future state titles once further upgrades to the facilities are completed over the next 12 months,” she said.
Last Friday’s race meeting and family night was the first of a number of events to be held this month.
The club will this Friday host the BMX section of the Victorian Schools Cycling Championship, part of the Festival of Cycling being held in Bendigo this weekend.
This will be followed by the mountain bike round on Saturday, with road racing to follow on Sunday.
The following weekend the club will host the first of its open meetings, with 200 to 300 riders from around Victoria expected to experience the new track facilities on October 29.
Club members are also gearing up for the state titles in Wyndham in November.
