Serious mental health conditions can, over time, affect a person’s ability to live independently and safely, and can lead to social isolation.
People living with the disabling impacts of mental ill-health need practical and motivational support that helps them develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives.
Mind is one of the country’s largest specialist providers of community-based support to people living with the impacts of mental ill-health, and they will soon open their brand new service in King Street, Bendigo, the Mind Thrive Centre.
The centre represents a brand new concept in the way people can access support, and is a significant addition to the services available to people living in the greater Bendigo area.

“At the Mind Thrive Centre, you can see a special mental health coach, a peer support worker, participate in a group activity, do a Mind Recovery College course, see an occupational therapist, or book into a recreation and leisure group activity,” Lead Mental Health Practitioner Emma Botheras said.
“The centre will open in November, but we are interested to hear from people now who might be about to get NDIS funding relating to their mental health. We can offer support coordination now, and help you think about the kinds of support you might want in the months and years ahead to help you live well.”
