DeAraugo, 31, of Strathdale, appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with possessing ice, drug driving, possessing a tomahawk, possessing a bladed knife and breaching bail.
A charge of trafficking ice was withdrawn.
Charge sheets obtained by the Bendigo Advertiser show DeAraugo was charged with the offences in Shepparton on June 15.
Her matter was transferred to Bendigo from the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court.
DeAraugo was also charged with breaching bail after she was allegedly caught by police away from her Strathdale residence outside of her curfew hours on July 24. Police allege she was at BP Kyabram.
Defence counsel Luke Docherty said DeAraugo would plead guilty to the remaining charges on November 15.
He said the defence was waiting on several reports before the plea hearing could be heard.
DeAraugo won Australian Idol in 2005 after her family and the community ran an extensive voting campaign in Bendigo. She then became a part of the Young Divas group.
