The Grasshoppers have won the past four flags, equalling the feat of Talbot between 1995 and 1998.
If the Grasshoppers can win again on Saturday at Maryborough’s Princes Park they will claim sole ownership of the MCDFNL record with five flags in a row.
As they have in the past three grand finals, the Grasshoppers will again face Carisbrook for the flag.
The two sides have met twice this season, with the ledger split one apiece.
Carisbrook won 11.12 (78) to 9.2 (56) in round five in what has been Navarre’s only loss for the season, while the Grasshoppers won the return battle 11.13 (79) to 6.18 (54) in one of just two losses the Redbacks have suffered.
The senior grand final starts at 2.35pm.
Meanwhile, in the A-grade netball Trentham and Maryborough Rovers will clash for the flag from 2.45pm.
