Bendigo’s Discovery Science and Technology Centre is running its annual membership drive ahead of its September school holidays programs.
As well as getting unlimited entry to the centre, discounts for events and free access to some education session, people picking up a membership will be showing their support for Discovery.
Memberships cost $54 for a family pass, $45 for individuals and $104 for a family with up to four children.
“In a perfect world, access to Discovery would be free for everyone,” general manager Jonathan Ridnell said.
“However, just like everyone else we have bills to pay, memberships and visitors to the centre are critical to help us cover our costs.”
Discovery’s September holiday program is Smash It Up, a science show that explains the forces that create destruction.
Also on show is the Planetarium show Incoming! It is narrated by Star Trek’s George Takei and talks about the role meteors and asteroids have had shaping our planet.
