An 87-year-old woman died after being hit by a van driven by a 90-year-old man in a supermarket car park in Melbourne's southeast on Saturday.

The driver and the dead woman were from Moama.
A worker said an older driver had struck his wife in the Woolworths car park at Lakeview Shopping Centre in Patterson Lakes.
Paramedics were called to the corner of Thompson Road and Gladesville Boulevard about 12.40pm.
Emergency services attempted to revive the injured woman but she died at the scene.
"I just heard that a gentleman had run over his wife," said the worker, who asked not to be named.
A police spokeswoman said the exact cause of the incident was being investigated.
"The male driver of the vehicle is assisting police with their inquiries," she said.
Patterson Lakes residents say they have been complaining about safety in the car park for years. They claim it is unsafe for pedestrians, lacks sufficient parking and there are multiple incidents of erratic driving.
Carrum & Patterson Lakes Forum founder Cameron Howe said locals had been calling for a redesign of the car park for years.
"The feedback's been very strong and quite clear," he said.
"There needs to be a full assessment, an audit, to understand driver behaviour and also to see whether we can improve pathways and offer better protection to pedestrians."
City of Kingston councillor Tamsin Bearsley, whose ward includes Patterson Lakes, said the council would await a police report and the response of the property owners and would look at improving safety if that were recommended. She said residents had not raised safety concerns with her directly about the car park but acknowledged it was unusual and potentially confusing.
"It is of a different layout to most shopping centre car parks and I can see there could be some confusion when parking," the councillor said.
Fairfax Media has sought comment from the owners of Lakeview Shopping Centre. The owners of the adjacent Harbour Plaza shopping centre, which shares the same carpark, declined to comment.
A spokesperson said on Sunday afternoon that police would not comment on the cause of the accident while investigations were continuing but that it was not being considered as suspicious. The spokesperson said police would not comment on the relationship between the driver and the victim.
