Firefighters were called to the rural property in Sedgwick Road about 6.30pm.
The shed was fully alight when crews arrived, taking firefighters until 7pm to bring the blaze under control.
Brigades from Bendigo, Mandurang, Sedgwick, Strathfieldsaye and Kangaroo Flat attended the fire.
Bendigo senior station officer Hugh Kelly said the shed contained a boat, tools and sports and gardening equipment such as lawnmowers and whipper snippers.
“The crews worked extremely well together in heavy smoke due to what was in the shed,” he said.
Firefighters gained entry into the building and managed to stop the fire spreading to nearby sheds.
The shed is still standing and some small equipment and tools were salvaged from the fire.
Fire investigators will be on scene Monday morning to determine the cause of the blaze.
