Now in its third year, the annual event features a classic and custom car and a motorbike “show and shine”, plus free children’s activities including TOOKO wildlife displays, pass the parcel games, face-painting, a jumping castle and craft activities.
Entry into the show and shine is $10 per vehicle with all proceeds going to the Malmsbury Fire Brigade.
Malmsbury CFA captain Tony Stephens said the event helped the brigade to buy equipment to improve its ability to serve the town and surrounding region.
“As our town and the workload of our brigade grows, this festival has become a key part of our forward planning,” he said.
“In the three years since we started this festival we have received tremendous support from the community and we have significantly increased our brigade equipment and our membership.”
Mr Stephens thanked all those who had supported the brigade and encouraged people to come along on Saturday, September 2, with the festival being held in the centre of town from 9am to 2pm.
