Having been named as an emergency, Kirby was included in the Magpies’ team on Friday to replace Ben Reid (general soreness) for the match against Melbourne at the MCG.
Originally from Tyntynder, livewire Kirby was selected by the Magpies with pick 50 at last year’s National Draft.
The 18-year-old forward is the equal leading goalkicker in the VFL with 42.
