BENDIGO residents will have the chance to discuss internet connection issues face-to-face with NBN staff during public engagement sessions in August and September.
NBN Co staff will be stationed at Lansell Square on August 30 and 31, at the Bendigo Marketplace from September 1 to 3, at Kangaroo Flat IGA on September 2 and Long Gully IGA on September 3.
NBN corporate affairs advisor Kasey Ellison said they wanted to provide up-to-date information for residents concerned about their connection.
“There has been some confusion about how the network will rollout, the technologies available to homes and businesses, and the role NBN plays in delivering fast broadband,” she said.
“I encourage members of the community to attend and ask any questions they may have.”
A further 3600 premises in Kangaroo Flat, Big Hill and Golden Gully can now access the NBN, and 4000 more will be able to connect in Elmore, East Bendigo, Kennington and Quarry Hill in the coming weeks.
Eaglehawk and Epsom will receive fibre-to-the-curb next year.
