“Really, I feel blessed I have so many, and they give me great enjoyment,” Mrs Mace said.
“They’re all different, but all so lovely.”
Elsie’s mother Narelle has named her newborn daughter, born on July 4, in Mrs Mace’s honour, giving her Moira as her middle name.
Mrs Davidson said Moira was a name she wanted to use anyway, but it seemed fitting this time.
Despite having 50 great-grandchildren aged between two weeks and 21 years old, Mrs Mace had no trouble keeping track of names – but she said the calendar came in handy for birthdays.
Mrs Mace also has 10 children and 30 grandchildren.
Mrs Mace’s daughter and Mrs Davidson’s mother, Christine Parks, said she loved being part of such a large family.
“You know it doesn’t matter what’s going on, you have someone to call on,” Mrs Parks said.
