Playing their first home game at Castlemaine’s Camp Reserve, the Thunder continued their unbeaten Northern Football League women’s season, defeating Diamond Creek by 26 points.
In a clash of first versus third the Thunder emerged victorious 7.9 (51) to 4.1 (25).
After leading by one point at quarter-time, the Thunder busted the game open in the second and third quarters, kicking six goals to one.
Ayrlea Bailey-McClanahan (three) and Laura Flanagan (two) combined for five of those goals during the game-breaking middle two quarters, with the pair the two best players for Bendigo.
Billie-Lee Humphrey and the consistent Tiahna Cochrane were also prominent for the flag favourites.
