The undefeated Thunder boasts an average winning margin of 67 points from their 12 games so far.
But when they met Diamond Creek in round seven they were forced to grind out a hard-fought eight-point win, 5.3 (33) to 4.1 (25).
Saturday’s game will be played at Castlemaine’s Camp Reserve from 5pm following the BFNL matches between the Magpies and Kyneton.
Meanwhile, round nine of the Northern Country Women’s League will be played this weekend.
