In what was the clash of the Northern women’s league’s unbeaten top team against the winless bottom side, the Thunder crushed La Trobe 24.8 (152) to 0.0 (0).
The Thunder’s tally of 24 goals included 10 in a sensational first quarter.
“We spoke before the game about not being complacent and the girls came out in the first quarter and played really good footy to open the game up,” Thunder coach Cherie O’Neill said.
Tiahna Cochrane was again best for the Thunder, while the goalkicking spree was led by superboot Andrea Walsh (six).
