Owner Jesse Gollan arrived at the Get Naked Espresso Bar in Napier Street on Saturday morning to find someone had forced entry through a back door.
Mr Gollan said the burglars stole the only cash left on the premises – the $200 float for the day’s trading.
“The most frustrating part was losing a bit of trade – we lost our busy Saturday morning, which would be worth a lot more than what was taken,” he said.
The coffee shop, which has only been open for six months, normally operates from 8am until 12pm on Saturdays.
Mr Gollan said he was forced to close the store on Saturday as police carried out their investigation and a replacement door was organised.
A CCTV system, which is already in place at the two other Get Naked Espresso Bars, has also been installed.
“It’s a bit of a reality check,” Mr Gollan said.
The break-in comes as Quarry Hill Cafe and Larder cleans up after being broken into twice in four days.
Owner Greg Harris said on Monday a burglar had ransacked the Carpenter Street store on both Friday and Monday mornings.
Bendigo police are investigating both break-ins.
