Top side Strathfieldsaye is on a six-game winning streak, while for the Tigers, season 2017 is proving a case of so close, yet so far.
The Tigers – who have the highest for in the competition – have won four games, but their other four results have been losses by a combined 10 points, plus a draw.
“It’s another opportunity this week for our group to continue to progress their football,” Kyneton coach Luke Beattie side.
“We’re only 10 points away from sitting at the top of the ladder ourselves, but the challenge we need to overcome moving forward is to capitalise on the close games so that we put some pressure on in terms of the ladder.
“Strathfieldsaye on its home deck presents a significant challenge, but like every week it’s one that we look forward to taking on.”
