The AFLW is going through its sign and trade period, with the Magpies retaining Grant on their list for what will be the second season in 2018.
Grant – a former captain of the Bendigo Thunder – played all seven games for the Magpies earlier this year and finished fourth in the best and fairest.
“I’m excited to play another year with the Magpies,” Grant said on Friday.
Collingwood ended the inaugural AFLW season fifth with a 3-4 record.
Meanwhile, the Bendigo Thunder are on the road for the fourth game in a row in the Northern Football Women’s League on Sunday.
The top-of-the-ladder Thunder, who this week had Kerryn Harrington selected as a 2018 AFLW rookie by Carlton, meet Pascoe Vale at Raeburn Reserve from 3pm.
