The fire started in two animal enclosures in a shed on the McColl Road property at about 9.30am on April 7 and a number of calves were located deceased inside after emergency services extinguished the blaze.
Investigations conducted by local detectives and officers from the Department of Agriculture revealed the calves were in extremely bad condition or deceased prior to the fire being started and the investigation is now focusing on the care and welfare of the animals prior to the incident.
