Amigo One has drawn box seven in the 10th event of the afternoon and to date he has saluted twice and been placed four times from just six career starts.
Last Friday night Amigo One carried the yellow rug and led from box rise to carve out some slick sectionals en route to an effortless 23.85 victory.
Aside from Augustus Dagloop, who posted an impressive 22.51 Warragul win last start, none of Amigo One’s opposition are capable of registering his best time and he will no doubt be sent to the boxes a short priced favourite.
The same scenario faces brother Amigo Two in the final event, race 12 on the card.
From four racetrack appearances to date Amigo Two has posted blistering victories in 23.87 and 23.89 from boxes one and two respectively.
His only two defeats were from middle draws, so the inside box two looks ideal for him to post his third victory at start five.
Drawn inside Amigo Two is another promising type, Ltifi Zeus, who has won three of five to date and twice at Bendigo, although his best is some five lengths slower at 24.21.
A couple of promising stayers clash in the Triple M Bendigo 660m event in Federal Agent and Jane’s Intention.
Federal Agent is searching for a hat-trick of victories after back-to-back comfortable Ballarat 545m wins and the 660m trip should suit, while Jane’s Intention, a youngster with plenty of staying promise, was a last-start meadows 725m winner.
While that pair look to have the class edge on their rivals, Who Took Johny, Ving Bale and Flash Intention are all capable of making their presence felt and the line up makes for an intriguing staying event.
