Police have again appealed for information about the death of a man in Nyah West last month.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are in the Swan Hill area today, continuing their investigations.
Police said a passer-by discovered the man’s body on Nyah West Road, near the intersection with Matson Lane, about 4.30am on Sunday, January 29.
Investigators believe the man was struck by a vehicle while lying on the road. However, police said it was not known why the man was lying down at that time.
Police said the man’s movements were accounted for until about 3am.
They believed he was likely to have been alcohol affected.
Investigators said the man had no other injuries apart from those consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle.
The deceased has since been identified as a 23-year-old Tongan national.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV and are appealing for anyone who was travelling in the area at that time to contact contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
