Kawhi Leonard had 30 points for San Antonio, who had their nine-game NBA home winning streak snapped.
It was a victorious night for the Bucks' Australian contingent of Matthew Dellavedova and Thon Maker over compatriot Patty Mills from the Spurs.
Maryborough’s Dellavedova, who is being eased back from a hamstring injury, had four points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Rookie Maker managed five points and an assist in his 12 minutes while Mills had two rebounds and five assists.
"I think this game showed a lot of character and resilience," Beasley said.
"It showed that we are working. We are trying to get better at late-game situations."
