The black Nissan Skyline coupe with stolen number plates ZSK 970 has evaded police multiple times and committed petrol station drive-offs in Bendigo and in other areas.
Leading Senior Constable Paul Chase said the car could have had several different drivers.
CCTV footage captured a man filling the car with $63 worth of petrol at the Coles Express petrol station in Kangaroo Flat at 10.40pm on Christmas Day, before driving away without paying.
The car appears to be missing hub caps in the footage, while the driver is wearing a black shirt and there are passengers in the car.
A second CCTV image shows another man filling the car with petrol, wearing a white shirt and denim shorts.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Witnesses sought to motorbike collision
Police are calling for witnesses to a collision between a small motorbike and a cyclist in Golden Square earlier this week.
A man was riding the motorbike – which could have been a monkey bike – along Specimen Hill Road before colliding with the back of a cyclist at the intersection with Inglewood Street.
The incident occurred at 9.30pm on Tuesday, January 3.
The cyclist told police the man was acting aggressively after the collision, so he fled the area to avoid further confrontation. He suffered minor injuries while the bicycle sustained damage.
The man is described at 175 centimetres tall, with a solid build and short dark hair.
Anyone with information can contact Bendigo police on 5448 1300.
