Bride: Rebecca
Groom: Darren
Wedding date: Saturday, November 12, 2016
The meeting: We met on a dating site but had lived around the corner from each other for seven years.
The proposal: Darren proposed in the garden of my house, we were supposed to get engaged in Bali which had been planned for months but I broke my foot the day before we were due to fly out! Talk about falling head over heels!
The wedding day: We were married at the top of Rosalind Park behind the Bendigo Art Gallery. My mum Sandra, and stepdad Terry, gave me away and my daughter Natasha, was my bridesmaid. I had my god daughter Stefanie, as my flower girl and Darren's son Tristan, as ring bearer. Darren had his eldest son Jake, as his best man.
We had the reception at the Bendigo Art Gallery café. The reception was a stand up cocktail party, the food was amazing and Linc from the café did an amazing job. Our DJ played great dancing music that had everyone up on their feet. It really was a fabulous day!
The weather held of too. I'm sure that was my dad looking down from above! As we got married on what would have been his 77th birthday.
The dress: I bought my dress from DEBLUES wedding shop in Echuca. It was a vintage style wedding so I chose a dress with champagne colours and white lace it was a very elegant dress and suited the day well.
The cake: The cake was a macaron rainbow coloured cake made by Hayley from Flavours + Hearts Bendigo.
