Eleven Christmas events are scheduled as part of the Summer in the Parks program.
Last night’s Light up of the Christmas Tree event was the first of the season, with Elmore’s free Christmas festival to take place on Saturday at the Elmore pool.
On Sunday, Christmas at Central Deborah Gold Mine will take place from 11am to 4pm ahead of the Maiden Gully community carols from 5pm.
Strathfieldsaye’s community carols will be on Wednesday, December 7, from 6pm.
On Sunday, December 11, Axedale (from 5pm), Eaglehawk (from 6pm at Canterbury Park) and South East Bendigo (from 6pm at Bendigo South East College) will all host carols-based events.
Heathcote’s Christmas Carols will be held on Saturday, December 17, from 7pm.
The city’s final Christmas event – Carols by Candlelight – will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Bendigo in Rosalind Park on December 18 from 7.30pm.
