Staff at KFC Kangaroo Flat have been offered counselling after the store was targeted in an armed hold-up on Monday night.
No staff were physically injured and the offender fled with cash.
A spokesperson for KFC said the business was proud of its employees’ response to the incident.
“KFC Australia can confirm an incident occurred at our Kangaroo Flat restaurant on Monday night,” the spokesperson said.
“We are thankful no staff or customers were injured during the incident and are very proud of the way our people conducted themselves .
“All of our restaurant staff have been offered counselling and will receive on-going support. We are working with police to assist with their investigation.”

EARLIER, Tuesday:
An offender made off with cash after an armed hold-up of Kangaroo Flat KFC last night.
Police received reports of the crime at 9.30pm.
A male offender is believed to have entered the store and demanded cash from staff.
Police are investigating and no arrests have been made.
