Sam, who is just eight years old, will play for Bendigo’s division six team against South Bendigo.
Sam took up bowls last season with the Bendigo Dragons under-18 squad and this season has become a full member at Bendigo, where his dad Kevin, mum Vikki and brother Luke also play.
“It’s a real feat for Sam to be playing pennant on Saturday at the age of eight,” Bendigo’s Geoff Briggs said on Friday.
“He represented the Bendigo Dragons against Ballarat last season when he was obviously even younger and from what I’ve seen of him, he’s showing some talent and is really keen.
“I’m sure he’ll enjoy the pennant experience on Saturday and we wish him all the best.”
The Nemeth family travels from Broadford to play at Bendigo.
Sam turns nine next month.
