In a statement released to the Bendigo Advertiser the Grant Thornton Australia partners said the business would be sold with assets including internal fit-out, furniture and audio-visual equipment.
“The creditors of the company will be provided with a report as soon as practicable on the investigations and actions taken by the administrators to achieve the best possible outcome for all stakeholders,” they said.
EARLIER: A decision on whether to wind up Kennington bar #Hashtag will be made by early next month following an initial creditors meeting to be held next week.
In a letter to creditors seen by the Bendigo Advertiser, administrator Grant Thornton Australia advises that while a detailed investigation of the company’s affairs is yet to be completed, it will not be trading during the administration period.
“Accordingly we request that you immediately cancel all services and/or accounts held in the company’s name as at the date of our appointment,” it reads
All creditors will receive a detailed report prior to the second meeting at which a decision on #Hashtag’s future will be made.
It is still not known how many creditors will seek remuneration or how much money may be owed.
Business owner Corey Scoble could not be reached for comment.
