The highest total was Strathdale-Maristians’ 5-267 against Bendigo United, which included three unbeaten half-centuries to Benjamin Worme (59), Lachlan Horan (55) and captain Aaron Gundry (55).
Bendigo also had three players raise their bats in its tally of 5-230 against Strathdale-Maristians Suns – Kayle Thompson (61), Jack Merrin (51) and Aden Shanahan (50).
Abe Sheahan (77) and Seamus Dwyer (76) were both in fine form for Strathfieldsaye as the Jets made 4-235 against Sandhurst.
Eaglehawk has a score of 4-208 to defend against Kangaroo Flat. The bulk of the Hawks’ runs were scored by Bailey Ilsley (82) and Kallum Schepers (73).
Maiden Gully cracked 2-263 against Golden Square. No batting details were supplied.
There was also a half-century made in the under-14A match between Bendigo United and Strathdale-Maristians Suns by the Redbacks’ Bradman Constable (52). Harvey Gee (3-1) was superb with the ball for the Suns.
Meanwhile, round three of the BDCA’s under-12A was played on Sunday.
