As votes for the Castlemaine Ward continue to be tallied, provisional election results show former mayor Janet Cropley has not been voted back in.
Ms Cropley was standing in the Tarrengower Ward against Sharon Telford, Keith Roberts and Jennifer Adams.
According to the Victorian Electoral Commission website Sharon Telford is set to join the Mount Alexander Shire as a councillor while Tim Barber, Christine Henderson and Michael Redden look like returning to council for another term.
