MEMBERS of Bendigo’s Golden City Pipe Band have been bestowed the title of the best kilt wearers in Australia. The band beat out more than 40 rivals at the Australian Pipe Band Championships. “We’ve a fairly strong record for our music as well as in dress and drill,” said president Chris Earl. “The band has raised more than $30,000, including invaluable support from the City of Greater Bendigo, to update and upgrade much of the uniform and equipment.”
