Five fire trucks were called to the Dowker Street fire at 1.40pm this afternoon after a dryer sparked the blaze, according to initial reports.
Two trucks from Bendigo, two from Huntly and one from Eaglehawk responded to the call out.
The fire was called under control at 2.07pm after crews contained the blaze to one room, ventilated the house and called out a power company.
