The DSE has advised people to be aware of potential road closures, with a 155-hectare fuel reduction burn on Canadian Hill and a 116-hectare burn on Jones Road.
Another 289-hectare fuel reduction burn will take place at Cheong, two kilometres south of Rushworth.
Maryborough residents will also experience signs of smoke, with a 202-hectare burn in Timor Havelock Road, seven kilometres north of Maryborough.
The DSE has warned signs may be in place to slow traffic, and access to walking tracks, car parks, camping grounds and picnic sites in the burn areas may be restricted.
Road users have been warned that traffic conditions may be hazardous due to low visibility associated with smoke.
