Bouwmeester will compete in the Victoria Country v Victoria Metro under-19 trial series at Barooga.
Two Country and two Metro squads have been picked for the trial tournament, which will be held from September 19 to 22.
Also picked is former Huntly-North Epsom keeper-batsman Ryan Hartley, who is now playing Premier Cricket with Prahran.
As well as form in the trial tournament, club performances will also be taken into account when the Victorian team for the national under-19 championships in December is selected.
“Barooga is a great lead into the season with a full week of cricket at fantastic facilities,” Victorian under-19 coach Graeme Rummans said.
Bouwmeester took 16 first XI wickets for Bendigo United last BDCA season.
