The 44-year-old taxi driver has been charged with rape, false imprisonment and indecent assault.

The court heard the alleged rape took place on Sunday morning around 4am after the man picked up the victim, who had been out clubbing, from central Bendigo.

The man had been driving taxi's in Bendigo for about three weeks on Friday and Saturday nights for extra cash. He is not allowed to continue driving taxi's as part of his bail conditions.
