More than 450 people are expected to attend the gala dinner at Bendigo’s All Seasons Resort.
Ten awards are set to be presented, with all nominees vying for the coveted title of Business of the Year.
Bendigo Business Excellence Awards chairman Gerard House said the awards, conducted and managed by the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst, were the most prestigious in the region.
Mr House said the aim of the awards was to recognise businesses who excelled in their endeavours.
The judging process was a lengthy one, he said.
“We judge on the quality of expectation the customer has for each business,” he said.
“We have measured criteria that we go through and then we get independent judges that come in and assess.”
The awards began in 1994 and since then have recognised many Bendigo businesses and individuals for their achievements in the community.
Mr House said a similar number of entrants had entered this year to last year.
