The Slam is the largest roller derby tournament in the Southern Hemisphere and involves both domestic and international teams.
The Chiko Rollers head into the event in great form, finishing runners-up in the two major tournaments staged in Victoria last year.
They have drawn top spot in division one and will do battle against the Victorian Roller Derby All-Stars, who are currently ranked second in the world on Women's Flat Track Derby Association rankings.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity," said Chiko Rollers captain Alana 'Slinky Ice' Robertson.
"The Great Southern Slam is something special.
"I know the Chikos will bring their fierceness to the track, while at the same time embodying the spirit of roller derby.”
