A local truck driver’s weekend started badly when his semi-trailer rolled over in Long Gully this afternoon.
There were no injuries.
A VicRoads spokesman said the corner would remain closed for a few more hours while crews prepared to remove the truck.
The driver was on his way home with 30 tonnes of export hay when his truck rolled on the corner of Sparrowhawk Road and Creeth Street.
The driver had planned to take his load to the Port of Melbourne on Monday morning. However it is unclear how, or if, the load will make it down there now.
Leading Senior Constable Dave Hockey said neither alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
“We will investigate whether speed was a factor. We’ll also investigate if it was load shift or fatigue.”
